With the end of 2025 in sight, things are looking pretty good, but there are still many issues affecting our local business community. We've seen quite a few new businesses open, however we've also unfortunately seen many forced to close. Commercial insurance rates are continuing to rise, with some property owners experiencing increases as high as 30%. In response to this trend, it's important for businesses to implement proactive risk management strategies. In addition, commercial rents are still rising, regulations and fines are continuing to place a burden on business owners, and the effects of tariffs and inflation are starting to impact business. Our mission remains the same and we continue to be here for you.

On November 12, the North Brooklyn Chamber hosted an unforgettable Mixer at the Brooklyn Winery, bringing together members, local business owners, and industry professionals for an evening of connection, community, and celebration.

Attendees were treated to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a guided winery tour led by Stephanie Trevino, followed by a delightful wine tasting and bites from the Winery. The event provided the perfect opportunity for guests to mingle, make new connections, and engage with neighbors in a relaxed, cozy setting.

The energy was fantastic, with guests eager to get to know each other, share ideas, and strengthen local ties. As always, the North Brooklyn Chamber aims to foster relationships and build a vibrant business community, and this event was a great success in doing just that.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
